Granted you need an entire team to preform well to succeed in the NBA, but if you had to choose one player who’s performance could determine whether the Grizz develop into a legitimate playoff team, who would it be? In other words who is your preseason team MVP? – James

James, great question. I think that, although you should not put too much stock into the preseason, the Grizzlies’ 8-0 record cannot be ignored. The team has found ways to win together and now knows what it takes to win games in the NBA. My Grizzlies preseason MVP has been SG Sam Young. Our bench has helped us win most of those 8 games and Young has been that spark off the bench. In just 22 minutes per game, he has averaged 11.4 points and has shot 50% from the 3-point line. Additionally, his three point play against the Pistons secured the perfect preseason record. I feel that Young will be a great asset to the team this season. Thanks, James. Grizzlifers, do you really think that the Grizzlies will make the playoffs this year? – Justin

Justin, I wholeheartedly believe that the Grizzlies will make the playoffs this year. Statistically speaking, the last 11 teams that have lost zero or one games in the preseason have made the playoffs that year. Right now, the Grizzlies are 6-0 in the preseason with one game left this Friday night (Oct. 22nd) at the Detroit. Regardless if the Grizzlies win or lose, they will complete their preseason schedule with less than two losses. So, barring confirmation of a curse, the Grizzlies will make the playoffs this year. Thanks for the question! -Ross
